My name is Stephanie Poulsen. I believe supporting students starts with supporting the people, the relationships and the schools that help them succeed. My goal is to listen, learn, and work alongside our community to help create schools where every student and every employee has the opportunity to thrive. As a lifelong member of the Modesto community and a Chico State graduate, I am a mom and a part-time substitute teacher with work experience in both the public and private sector. I am deeply invested in our youth and am always looking to lend a helping hand. No task is too small! I have participated in Love Modesto and multiple school committees and groups. I run a small nonprofit and have helped various public school districts by serving on the boards of multiple parent organizations at the school site and district level. Nice to meet you!
I believe in public schools. My husband and I are both graduates of Thomas Downey High School and our oldest children graduated from Modesto High School. Public schools thrive when the community works together.
I am honored to be a recipient of the SPIE Award from Modesto High and Stanislaus Partners in Education.
